The presentation of the book "Afriche. Inferno e Paradiso" (Africas. Inferno and Paradise) was not merely a book launch but an intense evening of dialogue with Father Giulio Albanese, a pivotal figure in Italian missionary journalism, who has successfully conveyed the truth about a continent too often described only through crises or stereotypes. The debate, expertly led by Roberto Monteforte and Giancandido De Martin, allowed the audience to fully grasp the work's significance and the value of Albanese's efforts.

The book is precious because it reflects real-life experience: that of a Comboni missionary who has lived on the front lines in Kenya and Uganda. At the same time, the book illuminates the "paradise" of its potential, from socio-political resilience to its unstoppable demographic drive. The dialogue with Monteforte and De Martin further highlighted how Albanese's analysis is a powerful appeal to Europe to overcome paternalism and embrace a model of co-responsibility, where Europe and Africa share a common destiny. The message is clear: the only way forward is knowledge, which is the most effective antidote against the hell of stereotypes. The book is, ultimately, an act of informational justice and an essential read for anyone who wants to understand the world of tomorrow.
